The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act is a bill that will prohibit school athletic programs from allowing individuals who were assigned male at birth to participate in programs that are for women or girls.


This bill specifically targets transgender female athletes and aims to stop them from participating in female sports and applies to all public elementary and secondary schools, and colleges and universities.

This bill was passed in the House of Representatives on Jan. 3, 2025 and was officially received in the senate on Jan. 15, 2025.
